

Yashodhan Verma, a talented 9th Class student from Spring Dales English School, Kathua, was recognized as one of the top 10 finalists at the Toycathon 2024 Grand Finale Exhibition held at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. The award was presented by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir in a ceremony celebrating creativity and innovation. Avantika, Class 8th student of Spring Dales English School Kathua was honored as one of the top 90 finalists in this highly competitive event organized by the Jammu & Kashmir State Council of Educational Research & Training (JKSCERT).
Yashodhan’s project, an interactive educational game featuring an illuminated map of India, received widespread acclaim. The game helps children learn the capitals of states through an engaging format where LED lights glow upon selecting the correct answer, combining education with technology.
The Toycathon 2024 was organized by the Jammu & Kashmir State Council of Educational Research & Training (JKSCERT) and saw participation from over 112,000 students across J&K. Yashodhan’s innovative idea stood out among the top 10 projects selected for their exceptional creativity and practical value.
The Lieutenant Governor praised Yashodhan and the other finalists for their ingenuity and dedication. Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director JKSCERT, commended Yashodhan for his outstanding effort, calling his project a blend of creativity and educational purpose.
The event showcased 90 finalists from across J&K, with Yashodhan’s achievement bringing immense pride to his school and the Kathua district. His project serves as an inspiration for young minds to explore innovative solutions to everyday challenges.
The award ceremony concluded with applause for all finalists, marking another milestone in promoting creativity and innovation among students in Jammu and Kashmir. Spring Dales Kathua’s achievements at Toycathon 2024 have set a benchmark for innovation and creativity, inspiring young minds across the region to pursue excellence. Director, Prof.R. K.
